Keep safe and keep positive…..

Happy Easter everybody, today we would be visiting the family, watching the kids gleam upon their Easter eggs, endless smiles until that one egg too many got the better of them. Adults alike, we are all victims of over indulging when chocolate is concerned, well I am. The Easter bunny definitely called to our home, our two year old grand daughter collected a bountiful amount of goodies on her way downstairs and enjoyed her little adventure. Even with this horrendous lock down we still managed to video call with family so even being forced apart we still managed to see those smiling faces. Times like this we all need that connection, I suppose it’s the only way to beat this social distancing and keep those around us safe. Our family like many others have downloaded apps like WhatsApp and Zoom, created groups we can all congregate, keep in touch and most importantly keep ourselves from completely going insane. If you haven’t downloaded these apps yet please do so. It’s a much needed lifeline.

So the roasts are slowly cooking for later, the chocolate is temptingly close to being unwrapped before 12am and well I hope this is the case for everyone out there, religion or just annual tradition of indulgence, whatever your reason. Remember chocolate as major magic properties (wink, wink) if nothing else it will put a smile on your face and lets face it, we all need as many smiles as possible right now. Happy Easter everybody and keep smiling.

Hi there, I'm Lee, I live in the UK in a small town called Blackburn. If I'm not working in the steel industry or training in karate, I'm out walking and taking pictures. I love taking photos and making them beautiful. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for a very long time. My writing run alongside my issues,  personal pitfalls, and experiences through life. Some experiences sad, some dark, but always honest. I treat my writing as my personal therapist., letting my thoughts out in words. This releases my inner demons and settles my personal head space.

  1. Hey Lee, glad to hear you’re doing well and enjoying Easter. Damn bunny left nothing but a note talking about an already excess around my waist..little fricker🤪. Don’t worry about me though, I’ve got a stash of dark chocolate Hershey Kisses hidden somewhere around here. All is well, we’ve got small snow flurries here today but my doggies and I love getting outdoors in the elements. Take care my friend.

  2. Hi Dwight,
I’ve just this second rocked our two year old grandchild to sleep, a chocolate fueled whirlwind has finally settled and the air as found peace. She really has been on top form since 8am this morn. We haven’t seen any snow this year, well a quick dust of the cold stuff but next to zero. I’m being tempted by a Cadbury dark chocolate Easter egg, not sure i can hold out much longer. I can’t wait to be able to go outdoors just for the sake of being able to. An unnecessary much needed hike into nowhere sounds like a future plan. Enjoy your walk pal.

    1. Hi Dwight,
Im as good as can be. A few family problems but the world is full of those at the moment. I haven’t wrote in a while, just coping with the doom and gloom that C19 as bestowed upon us is enough to deal with and life in general. Hope you’re doing good?

      1. Good to hear from you, Lee. Sending you and the family much light and peace. I’m doing very well, thanks. Been enjoying the Fall and getting out mountain biking. Love the leaves on the ground and the crisp air. This is my time of the year.

      2. Hi Dwight, read you last list, took me back to this comment, get that mountain bike out and go get some air. Enjoy the mountains and the scenery it as to offer. All the best and hope you have a great Christmas.
