Scary Brilliant Sadness….. By L D Wright

Scary Brilliant Sadness…..

The mind bends in totally different directions, let’s us relive the most hated hardships. Takes control of any situation, breaks, tortures, holds you hostage.

Happiness escapes and gives way to the storm clouds, takes the smiles replaced for dark tones. This scary brilliant sadness echoes from the silence. Shouts at you whilst nobody else listens.

Yesterdays tears make unexpected visits, leaves you down, open wounds, unprotected raw emotions. The pain mixed with smiles that wrap around our hearts, plays havoc with your soul.

Holds you back, blocks your route, keeps churning up the memories, leaves you alone in a crowded room, erases your positive mood.

Takes the if only and maybes to an entirely different level, one you can’t recreate because life stole your greatest treasures. Times a healer, well no it’s not it just gets easier but you don’t forget.

The scary brilliant sadness follows you in the shadows, creeps around and sneaks in between the sunshine. Treats you like an outcast as it sits besides the madness.

The journey doesn’t always go the way intended, life breaks the dreams and how they ended. The broken hearts that can’t be mended and all because its full of scary brilliant sadness.

Hi there, I'm Lee, I live in the UK in a small town called Blackburn. If I'm not working in the steel industry or training in karate, I'm out walking and taking pictures. I love taking photos and making them beautiful. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for a very long time. My writing run alongside my issues,  personal pitfalls, and experiences through life. Some experiences sad, some dark, but always honest. I treat my writing as my personal therapist., letting my thoughts out in words. This releases my inner demons and settles my personal head space.
