Pitfalls and unobtainable peaks….. By L D Wright

Pitfalls and unobtainable peaks…..

You can see but it feels so out of reach and the closer you get the world just creates voids that try to swallow your dreams.

As the avalanche cascades and blocks out the light, carries you uncontrollably back to the start. Kicking and screaming, clawing at the dirt, reset your restart.

It takes heart, guts and glory to conquer your unwritten story. No matter how many times you fall you’ve got to be prepared to go through it all.

The sun won’t shine every single second, its when its all gone dark you’ll find your hidden demons. The fight that tries to break you, the pitfalls you fall into.

The unobtainable peaks just need patience and determination. Nothing is impossible just obstacles you’ve not yet undertaken but you’ll achieve because your definetly more than able.

Staying positive even when it’s all a little much, that negativity gets so close you almost touch. Having the attitude to strive, attack it like it’s already yours.

You’ve come this far, learnt from past mishaps, took the storms and settled on sunsets, it didn’t beat you, you didn’t break but you accomplished more than you ever thought possible.

It wasn’t out of reach just a little further into the distance but you had the spirit and walked right to it. Prepared yourself and set the challenge and guess what only great things happened.

So when you think I really can’t do this, it’s way too hard, just think about it, press your restart, take a breath, 3-2-1, you’ve got this, carry on.

Hi there, I'm Lee, I live in the UK in a small town called Blackburn. If I'm not working in the steel industry or training in karate, I'm out walking and taking pictures. I love taking photos and making them beautiful. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for a very long time. My writing run alongside my issues,  personal pitfalls, and experiences through life. Some experiences sad, some dark, but always honest. I treat my writing as my personal therapist., letting my thoughts out in words. This releases my inner demons and settles my personal head space.
