Missing Pieces….. By L D Wright

Missing pieces….

When life crumbles and cracks its hard to refit the pieces, like some sort of awkward puzzle, jumbled or missing parts that don’t quite fit now life became broken.

Stumbling amongst the chaos thats seriously rearranged us, misplaced as we now search for answers, unable to function, confused situations.

Limitations set in place, stopped in our tracks as we completely fall to our knees, tears flow and screams follow as the storm clouds block out our only way forward.

Minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, time kinda blends into misery mixed with sorrowful reminders that hold us prisoners to the thoughts that surround us.

Hoping this storm breaks and the sun outshines the gloom, the shadows scatter as the warmth soothes and lessens the sorrow filled days.

One new step forward picking up the pieces, collecting our thoughts as we pursue the happiness that evades us. Time to heal this kind of broken.

Piece by piece, building up the picture like the one I remember looking back in the mirror. Little trips backwards but standing up looking into the future.

The hidden features slowly slip together, finding that pattern that felt a lot more like me, finally replacing the frowns for the smiles whilst finding the missing pieces life tried to hide.

Hi there, I'm Lee, I live in the UK in a small town called Blackburn. If I'm not working in the steel industry or training in karate, I'm out walking and taking pictures. I love taking photos and making them beautiful. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for a very long time. My writing run alongside my issues,  personal pitfalls, and experiences through life. Some experiences sad, some dark, but always honest. I treat my writing as my personal therapist., letting my thoughts out in words. This releases my inner demons and settles my personal head space.
